If you type in "Linus Pauling" in to any search engine like Yahoo you will bring up thousands of pieces of info on the Dr. that has done the most to promote Vitamin C use. It can do some incredible things to fight disease and treat illness. However, in normal healthy people they don't need nearly the "mega doses" that are required in Vitamin C therapy. Many people follow Dr. Pauling's research on this and swear by it. Of course everybody's body reacts differently.

They are all correct, but one point is vitamin C creates an acidic state in you body. Which viruses and germs, can't multiply in an acidic state. Allowing you body time, to build up white blood cells to fight off the virus. Another point, is you can't ever take too much, because, what ever your body doesn't need it just gets rid of.

Tissue healing. Before I have any surgeries, in addition to my multivitamin, I start vit C prior to surgery. It really makes a difference in the healing process, not to mention buffing up your immune system.
