I know that he likes me and I also like him. There is a school social in 6 days and I'm sorta too shy to ask him myself? How can he or I get confident in asking each other out?

Why wait? if you do, someone else will snap him up, or he won't ask you at all, if he's too shy. It's hard, but take a deep breath and just go for it. don't make a big deal out of it either, something like "why don't we go to the social together? it'll be fun" should do the trick, make it seem casual, even though your stomach's doing backflips! Make it a group thing perhaps, your girlfriends and his friends. The more the merrier! And that way, you'll have support right there. If he does indeed like you, he probably won't say no, and in my experience, guys really love it when a girl does the asking. It gives them a bit of an ego boost, in a good way!

Just think of it this way, if you don't ask him, you might not get to go with him. He might be more shy than you or might think you are not that interested. Just let him know that you know about the dance and was wondering if he had a date, and if he likes you, he probably wants to ask you, so chances are he has not asked anyone, so when he says he does not have a date, then ask him yourself. Be like, "I was wondering if you would like to go with me." Being assertive and bold will get the point across that you like him and want to go with him, and if he likes you but has been to shy to ask, this will make him feel wanted and blow him out of the water that you asked him! He will probably mention that he should have asked you first!

You know how comfortable you feel with friends? Just make him comfortable with you. If he's not afraid of being around you it will help him relax.
Show your confidence around him and just get comfortable with each other. If he's worth anything he'll ask.

i think first u should start out as his friend and then see if he has a girl friend and if he is shy if he is go ahead and ask him if he isn't make sure he doesn't have a girl friends and slightly flirt to show him u like him

If you know he likes you then maybe he will ask you. but don't wait too long becuase if he doesn't then he'll ask someone else. Just drop your guard and ask him yourself. Be confident, nothing sexier than confidence.

try to hang out with/ or around him more . 6 days will go fast ..........so you just might ask him out ! before somebody else does!
