I just met my birth Mother & nine siblings last april. I grew up an only child..I don't know really how to do this! We will be traveling this Christmas to spend a week with my new Brother and his family. His wife, daughter & mother inlaw. The rest of my family live spred out in a 200 mile radious. I'm stressing. Any ideas?

Pictures of you when you were little, pictures of your life before so they can get a glimpse into your past. That would be the ideal gift (besides the gift of YOU that they are already getting!).

I can somewhat relate as I met my older brother who was placed for adoption in April 2003. Our first Christmas together was a bit awkward. Go with something simple. Bring a nice bottle of wine for the family and a gift for the daughter. Don't stress out about it. They are just going to be happy to have you there. You already gave them the best gift. The chance to get to know you and have you there during the holidays. Congratulations! :)
PS be patient with them, it's a little frightening for them too!

Well you really need to know a little bit about him and his family. What do they like? Watching movies, sports, etc...? If you don't know, call them and ask what's on their Christmas list. It's okay to do this not only because you don't know what to get them, but you barely know them if you just met them a year ago. I don't think they would be upset by this question, I think they would be happy to know that you are thinking of them.
Congrats on the new family and Merry Christmas.
