Ozone is the layer that protect us(including all living organisms) frm harmful radiations that r comiing frm the sun.It absorbs the harmful Ultra violet(UV) radiations frm sun.In short this layer acts as a blancket to earth. Its chemical coposition is O3.UV rays r harmful bcoz it causes diseases lik Skin Cancer etc..In recent is years it is seen that the the ozone is becoming thinner 'N' thiner & above the Antartica a big hole in the layer had occured. This may lead to serious disastors, bcoz the ice in the antartica region melts due to the hole in ozone layer.

Ozone (an unstable, poisonous allotrope of oxygen) forms in the atmosphere through the process of photolysis, when ultraviolet radiation from the Sun strikes oxygen molecules, causing them to split apart. When freed oxygen atoms bump into one another and join together they form ozone.

Most ozone forms in the 15 to 30 km (10 to 19 mi) altitude range and in latitudes closest to the equator where sunshine strikes the Earth the most. The ozone is then transported northward and southward by wind and is generally most concentrated in areas above the Canadian Arctic and Siberia and above Antarctica.

By absorbing much of the Sun's ultraviolet radiation, the ozone layer serves as a sunscreen for organisms on Earth. In recent years the ozone has thinned or disappeared in parts of the ozone layer, creating an ozone hole that lets in dangerous amounts of ultraviolet radiation.

Ozone at ground level is also an air pollutant, contributing to respiratory diseases such as asthma. It also creates a blanket similar to that in the upper atmosphere which is responsible for the "greenhouse effect" on earth.

the ozone layer is a part of the stratosphere section of the atmosphere. the ozone layer is mostly important because it protects us from the sun's dangerous UV rays. global warming is considered a problem because high levels of carbon dioxide and green house gasses burn holes on the ozone layer, thus exposing those rays and making the earth warmer. also, the ozone layer is the location of the aroura borealis and aroura australis (the northern and southern lights).

The ozone layer is formed when the solar winds collide with the magnet field. I don't think there is anything u can do about it . If u could I would not recommend that u did. It is also part of a hold system that protects us from the sun's radiation.

ozone is O3, and if we breathe that.......we'd be dead. That's why the Ozone layer is up there in the atmosphere. They block out the Sun's UV rays, which damages not only us humans, but other animals and plants too.

ozone ( O3 ) and blocks most of the UV rays emited by the sun
if there was no ozone layer there would be no life on earth as the UV would literally burn aniamls skins and plants leafes
