Hi everyone,
I'v heard people use the word 'ho' on these answers but i'm not sure exactly what this word means. I'm being serious, plz kindly let me know n dont report this as wrong. I am not the type to mess about for no reason. Thanks
Am i right in thinkin it is a phrase used in place of 'whore'?

i believe that when the word ho skank slut whore they all have the same meaning . maybe she sleeps around with several guys , also said in anger as a figure of speech . the male being mad ,and or females also use this word in a negative way .. i think it is used by both men and women , , and can be used in place of whore ,and several other negative words toward women for different situations using the word ho as just one,

It's a slang phrase for "whore." It's first indication is from individuals of lower education who want attention by chopping words into gibberish. It was emphasized on TV programs such as "Jerry Springer" to de-emphasize the use of the word whore and by-pass the censors. Since illiterates cannot express themselves without such gibberish, or have not learned to properly articulate a language properly, they choose to speak gibberish. Maybe they assume it makes them sound stronger in speech while actually showing their intellectual level. (ZERO!!!) Personally, I consider this a very derogatory word, and poorly used to express your feelings of someone. I actually witnessed a young lady in court that had to have a translator so the judge could understand her. Again, we are not perfect! Learn to respect others, and if they are not receiving capitol gain from sexual conduct, then the use of "ho" or "whore" is improper.

You are absolutely correct, although I would say the term 'ho' is far milder than 'whore'. 'Ho' is often used in a joking sense...sometimes guys will even say "let's go find some ho's" as in "let's get some chicks", whereas I have never heard guys say "let's go find some whores", at least, not where I hang out...

In reguards to your question, it is all about the placement of the word. Sometimes it is used for whore, but if its a group of guys just talking it maybe used instead of girl, or woman. Also, some guys just use it because their friends say it and they just want to fit in. My thoughts, are he lacks respect for woman and in time it will pass. Its a fad, life phat, or thats dope. Soon there will be another word that will replace that. But if its used in a way that your not comfortable with talk to him and allow your feeling tobe conveyed and it may change him for the better.

alot of words r used n the form u r talking about. take the word "*****" 4 instance, its meaning can b negative or positive depending on how the word is used.
