Research lots and lots of research. You have to find out what you have to do to become a legal citizen in both the UK and the USA. You have to decide whether you want city life or small town life. Where you can work, what you can do for work, have fun and good luck!

Don't post this question in "Singles & Dating", for starters.
Find a potential employer who will sponsor you for a work permit, or (for the U.S.) apply for the green card lottery. But be prepared for a long slog - the U.S. is very anti-immigrant nowadays, and the U.K. has its hands full with all the Poles and Czechs.

For both countries the waiting list is around 10 yers, I believ so think about it.
Other countrie are having little less waiting period.
Once in this country, you need a plan to support youself.
You must study what is in demand. Then find a job, and come.
Come as graduate student.

You can consult others who had already settled there

For the USA, check out www.uscis.gov. This web site tells you how to migrate to US, how to get proper visas, etc. It can also tell you how to get permission for working in US. I'm sure UK also has a website like this. Check it out.
