Try...."Florida Inmates" or what ever the state is and you will get a page where you can search inmates by name or Dept. of Corr. number if you have one.

if the jail or prison doesn't offer it online then you should be able to call either one and ask. if its a federal inmate then you can go to the federal inmate search and they will give you the info.

there may a be a state DOC website with inmate info on it...if youre a victim the DOC may have a Victims Rights office.
