I am designing a comparison system on excel, and am looking for tips to make it look more professional...such as, cells that look like 3D buttons to enter number into. so the user knows which cells need data inputting. also any other tips on protecting the whole worksheet but keeping the cells unlocked that need to be entered....just any tips really that may help me, would be greatly appreciated!! thanks all xxx

In excel you can assign button objects to your project. You can choose between a variety of buttons. Useful for formulating calculations. Also adding color to your speadsheets makes it look more organized.

depending on which version of excel you are using will dictate your selection options, you can protect the whole sheet while unlocking certain cells, and also track changes made, add color to the cell header if you cant use 3d in the format of the cell you want people to change
