so i was in biology class yesterday studing the heart and we had to take our blood pressure and pulse rates (bpm). anyway after much trouble finding a pulse the readings were a bit odd. they were taken after two minuits exercise at 30 second intervals:

pluse: 67 | pressure 128 / 87

pulse: 58 | pressure 139 / 60

pulse: 89 | pressure 123 / 89

pulse: 96 | pressure 100 / 90

pulse: 63 | pressure 129 / 84

if anyone can tell me if this is normal or what could have caused this, and if it is a risk to my health, please help. thanks!

The readings are all within normal limits, especially given the circumstances you describe. Given that your partner was just learning to take blood pressures and pulse rates, it's difficult to say how accurate they were but even so they are all pretty much what you'd expect to see. I imagine the third and fourth readings reflect a little anxiety on your part, after having difficulty finding the pulse and having the blood pressure taken repeatedly. As the pulse rises, the blood pressure appears to be dropping, which is a good response from the veins and arteries to relieve stress on the overall system. The heart was beating so rapidly at that point that the pressures would have risen if the veins and arteries did not dialate to compensate, and as yours obviously did, we see the drop in the arterial pressure (the top number) and a slight rise in the veinous pressure (the bottom number). The drop in pressure of blood returning to the heart via the veins would encourage the heart to slow a bit, which we see happen by the last reading, along with the return to close to the first blood pressure reading with a difference of about 30mHg pressure. So the body was reacting normally, and actually pretty well.
People taking pulse and blood pressure in the circumstances you describe often get odd readings. Lots of folks just get keyed up to having the cuff wrapped around their arms, and just the idea of somebody recording it all is enough to really put us on the edge. Pulse and blood pressure all react to something as simple as us becoming aware of them, which of course you were acutely aware of at that time. Even so, the results you posted are all normal and there is no need for concern on your part. If you ever do have reason to think you have a problem, though, it would be best if the tests were done by a doctor or nurse in a more controlled atmosphere than the middle of biology class.

The blood pressure readings are insignificant, completely normal.
The readings as a whole suggest a fair level of fitness as the heart rate has settled to normal quickly after exercises.
The third and fourth readings do seem to rise a bit, this could be recording error, (you did mention much trouble finding a pulse), or anxiety (you did ask the question) or further exertion.
Don't worry about it.
