Clean it every day with antibacterial soap, perhaps even 2-3 times a day. Don't touch it otherwise. Put on a small bit of medicine after you clean it.

But really, go back to where you had it pierced. Part of the money you gave them is to take care of this kind of stuff. I had an infection after my nose was pierced and it was because the metal they used...I have really sensitive skin to metals.

Rubbing alcohol and Neosporin at least every hour or two and possibly some antibiotics if you can get ahold of some. If that doesn't work within five days I would consider taking the stud out and forgetting about it before you lose your nose.

Four weeks and it is still infected? Go to the doctor! Something is wrong. Just think if the infection spreads up you face two or three inches to your eyes you may never be able to see your red nose in the mirror again. But we will and I don't think we would think it is cool.

After a month, it should be fairly well healed...you might have a little infection. Check with your doctor, he may give you some anti-biotics. Try rinsing well with hydrogen peroxide, and see if that gives you some relief.

for now try to clean it as much as you can.

if you have any suspicions that it's infected you should take the piercing out. you can always get it done again after it heals.
