NO! you should not drink beer while taking any antidepressants, more particular Lexapro. This is one of the guidelines of using this medications.
Drinking with antidepressents, can cause seizures and twitches. My friend drank while taking antidepressent and had convulsions So be very careful. Although (not that I encourage this) some people have them together - to get a trip... so to speak.

ALSO, While I've got your attention. Rather than taking antidepressants, there are dietary changes you can make to your lifestyle that would enable you to stop using them. In particular some of the B vitamins, and some people have success with St. Johns Wart (which is a herb).
Mind drugs are VERY DANGEROUS... because doctors/psychologists don't test patients biological chemical levels in their brains, when prescribing, they do it going off your feelings. And altering your natural mind chemicals, can leave PERMANENT damage. Of course, if you do want to go of them, make sure you do it slowly, with medical supervision.

lol, I know that was an extended answer... but hope you got something out of it - all the best!

I used to be on Lexapro, but I switched off it a few years ago, so I may be a bit fuzzy. My doctor told me that the effect of mixing the two is that the antidepressant can increase the effects of alcohol, especially drowsiness. I can say from experience that this is true--the morning after you're very, very tired no matter how much you sleep.

It's probably not the greatest combination, but as far as I remember it's not really much more harmful than each on its own. Unless you're following a whole bottle of the pills with a whole bottle of vodka--that's just asking for trouble

All antidepressants are actually chemical stabilizers. That is why many antidepressants are also anticoagulants, or used to help treat epilepsy. Taking alchol while taking chemical stabilizers can have various effects. The most likely effect is you will become drunk incredibly quickly. Personally I would try to avoid mixing the two.
