I don't see why not.... If your mom is healthy and exercizes regularly , then she should be able to have a normal pregnancy.. Age is really not a factor in pregnancy.. Its more about health..
Oh and also, Congrats on your new brother/sister... If you worry this much about your mom, you are gonna make an AWESOME SIS...:)

There isn't anything saying whether having a child at the age of 41 is safe or unsafe, but there are a lost of risk factors for women having children over the age of 40. There is a good risk of mental redardation. As long as the pregnancy is going fine so far I'm sure everything will be fine. There are cases of women having children up to the age of 55, so 41 shouldn't be a problem.

As long as she is in good health, it is just fine for her. Women are having babies later and later in life. One risk would be a higher incidence of downs syndrome. But I'm sure her doctors will test her baby for this.
Today there is excellent prenatal care which means having babies later in life is much safer. It also means that Mom and Baby are well looked after and you can rest at ease that her doctor will be doing all he can to ensure a healthy outcome for your mother and her baby.
In my opinion your mother is still well with in a reasonable time to have babies. I think even into a womans late 40's is okay. Last year alone a record number of women had babies in their mid 50's. Once you get that old I think it should come into question of if it's a good idea or not. Because if you are 55 when you have a child you will be 70 when the child is 15! I think that may be a little much. But 41 seems to me just fine. Good luck to you and your mother, congratulations on a new brother or sister!

If she is healthy, then it should be safe.
She'll have to have tests done to be sure the baby develops normally. Pregnancies after age 36 are risky with developing birth defects because women's bodies start getting ready to shut down (pre-menopause) then.
My mom was 37 when she had me and 40 when she had my brother. The OB kept a close eye on us.
Generally, women should stop at 40 due to high risks of birth defects and the woman's body changing.
The woman should also keep in mind what age she'll be when the child is a teenager.

There is no special age when women should stop having babies. The main thing is that the woman is healthy, that she follow her doctor's advice and that she maintain healthy habits before, during and after pregnancy.
Does it bother you that Mom is pregnant? Sometimes it bugs young men and women when they are of child bearing age and thier parents get pregnant. Try not to let it bother you and if it does, talk to her about it. Above all, be happy for her - she really needs that from you!

In todays world there are no cut off ages for having babies, I think it all depends on how healthy the individual is and if they are really up to taking care of a brand new baby! Good luck to you and your mom!

She should see a doc, but women have had babies far into their later life.
47 is a good age to stop, in my opinion. I am 40, just had a baby, and she is perfect.
Anyone over 42 is a prime candidate for genetic counseling and amniocentesis.

There are some things that can be a problem just because she is over 40, but everybody's health status is different. If your mom is in good health and the doctor is not worried, you shouldn't either. The doc will do tons of blood work to make sure that all is good. Good luck to you and your family.

It depends upon ones' health. If a woman is healthy it doesn't matter. A woman is well efficient up to 40 to 45. Village women are more healthy. In cities pollution cut short life by at least 10 years.
If your mom is healthy you need not worry. Afterall she is more experienced and must have taken doctors' advice.

My opinion. I was 37 years old for my first and 39 years old for my second child. They were very healthy physically and mentally. Modern medical people say there is more risks but I feel there are risks at any age. Mother nature has a way of determining at what age a woman should stop having children. Good luck to you mother and please, just be happy for her. :)
