hello, i need help with this:
the man leads the dance, right? with his posture and movements he leads back and fort, left and right, ok? but tango has these little "adornos" that you do during the dance, like voleos, like ganchos etc, how does he lead those? what is the signal to know you have to do this or that?
please tell me :)

I'm going to start tango classes in 2 weeks--- looks like I'll have a lot to learn. Sorry I can't help -yet.

You don't need to be guessing what's the signal. If he leads it properly, he leaves you no choice: either you do the move, or you be so uncomfortable that you feel you're about to fall. The best you can do to help him is to be very clearly on one foot or another, not on both feet at the same time. If your weight is evenly distributed over two feet you are practically unleadeable. In this case, exeprienced leader will "put you on the foot" i.e. he'll move your weight to one of your feet. If you resist that even that, then, short of picking you up in his arms, he's stuck. LOL.

The moves you've mentioned are lead with his catching the right timing (when you are on the correct foot) and his using his own center and being very clear about where his weith is and - surprise - the thighs if necessary.
