Yes the xbox 360 will read the originally xbox games, well at least most of them. There is this website http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardscompatibility.htm it tells you everything you need to know/do to get your old games to play on the 360. You have to a harddrive and you have to download a file from the website either using a computer or xbox live or you can order one from xbox. there is also a list of the games that you will be able to play. i know this works, this is what we had to do when my husband and I got our 360..Good luck!

some of the xbox games can be played on 360 if u try going to www.xbox.com they might have a list of regular xbox games that u can play on 360!

it plays some games. it plays almost all of the most popular games. currently i think 300 xbox games are compatible. for a complete list search it on xbox.com. go to their website and find backwards compatiblility list.

Google the game you are looking for and i'm sure it will tell you if it will work for sure or not... I know there have been games that have issues working on the 360.
