Our family has been invited by a family in my son's class. What should we bring- a gift for the family, for the child, some flowers???? What is the tradition? How should we dress? Any help, please???

i´m from germany. don´t make so much sorrows. i think for the mother you can take flowers (some colors for chrismas) and for the child you can buy some little sweeties (a choclate for chrismas). not too much. you can dress normal, take the same things when you would going out for a nice evening.

Hey! I am no German but we have an Advent open house here in Norway too, kind of. If you were commin` to me, I would be happy for a lot of beer, wine or stronger!!!!!! But, then again, I am a black metal rocker, so what do I know???

I assume that you're not "that" old and that
the people you're going to visit aren't either.

So there's really no dress or present code that
you should follow. Seasonal flowers sound good.
Any special gifts would personally catch me off
guard.
