When I was 7 mum and dad gave me for Christmas three books. The characters were little angels. In the firs the angels went to the Earth and helped an old backer to make Christmas cookies for all the children in the village and then went back to help Santa with the presents. The pictures in the book were very nice and I love that story. It brings me back to the time when I believed that everything is possible, that the people are good and that Christmas really makes us better people.

I am looking forward to watching "A Smokey Mountain Christmas" because it tells of the kind of charity that is the reason for the season when Dolly Parton takes a bunch of orphan children under her wing and then gets the help of the local sheriff played by Lee Majors.

While NOTHING tops the original, "The Gift of the Magi" comes close. It demonstrates the selfnessless of us. A destitute wife sells off her beautiful long hair to buy a chain for her husband's cherished pocket-watch. She discovers Christmas morning that her husband SOLD the watch to purchase an ornate hair brush his beloved wife can use on her flowing locks. How touching!

A Christmas Carol - the one with Albert Finney. It makes me remember when I was a child and used to wait up for Santa to come. I swear I heard the reindeer land on the roof one year!

There is only one reason for Christmas. That being to celebrate the birth of the Christ child. So the real story of Christ s the answer!
