what's the difference between getting completely drunk and getting high from illegal drugs?

OBVIOUSLY, besides the fact that alcohol is legal and illegal drugs such as cocaine and marijuana are illegal.

You hit on the difference: one is illegal and terribly stupid, getting drunk is just terribly stupid. There is no rational for doing illegal drugs.
