Wait a minute! You want ME to pay for something I had nothing to do with? Jews are more than welcome to come here! But not to be seperate from the rest of our country.

You are right, they do have a right to live. In the United States, there are a lot of Jewish people. Some of them live together or near each other in communities. There are less Jews from the United States who have returned to Jerusalem than any other country in the world, because they have respect here, and can live in peace.
So why have a jewish state, when they are already integrated into our society. Should we then have an English state, and a German State, and a Polish State, and an Irish State, and a Mexican State, etc, etc.
The Arabs and the Jews are cousins. Why don't the Arabs just live in peace and quit trying to kill their neighbors. We do it in the US, so why can't they. Many Arabs want to kill all the jews, and then all the christians. That sounds like really good neighbors to me. Yet, even the Arabs come to the US and Live by the thousands and are accepted. Many work and send the money back to Palestine to help kill the Jews. That is real brotherly with your cousins, I would say.

First - no way would the US allow any other state on its soil; we have enough issues with the Native American lands and the Native Americans were actually here first, just as the Arab states have issues with Israel. Having said that, I support Jews being in Israel and also American Indians having sovereignty over their lands.
Second - in what universe can you move the Jewish homeland away from Israel and Jerusalem? I don't think their point is to have any old state but to have their historical lands restored. This is not about what God promised, rather about what the Israeli people are looking for.
Third - whatever you believe, it is really time for Israelis and Arabs to stop killing each other.

The Land of Israel was the birthplace of the Jewish people. Here
their spiritual, religious and national identity was formed. Here they achieved independence and created a culture of national and universal significance. Here they wrote and gave the Bible to the world.
Exiled from the Land of Israel, the Jewish people remained faithful to it in all the countries of their dispersion, never ceasing to pray and hope for their return and the restoration of their national freedom.
So, to answer your question if I was Jewish I would not accept a Jewish State on the North American soil. Their homeland is exactly where it is today. Who has the right to ask them to leave it.
The Arabs are not paying for any crime perpetrated against them. They certainly are not innocent in what is happening in that region of the world. The Israeli's aren't innocent either but to say that Israel should leave or does not have the right to be exactly where they are is completely wrong.
I have to wonder based on your logic... why aren't you suggesting the Palestinians to leave. What gives them anymore of a right to the HolyLand than the Israeli's.

No,,,, This country was based on all people and races living together as one !!!!! somewhere where people of all countries can come make a living and have freedom... If we start separating classes we are no better that other countries. If that happends then whats next all the whites live one place all the blacks live somewhere etc... and what does that lead too ? who has the better and bigger amount of land !!! also each cluster will not accept 1 leader for all so that is a whole different problem then we would have 4,5,6,7, different *presidents* . We might as well go live in IRAQ!!! THat would lead to turmoil and fighting, hell look at the problems we have just between the PARTIES in our one government .

Let me jog your memory...
There was a war for independance. They all got their guns and fought over the turf. The Isralies won, the Palestinians lost.
That's the same reason that the USA belongs to us and not Brittish, the Mexicans to them and not the Spanish, Brazil to the Brazilians and not the Portugese, etc.
It's just harder for people like you to deal with it because it's recent history and not hundreds of years ago.
The Jews and the Arabs have both occupied that piece of turf for thousands of years. It just depends on how far you want to look to determine who's it was first.
And frankly, I wouldn't have a problem with a Jewish state within the borders of the USA.
A better question is why can't they co-exist and be neighbors without killing each other. Why do they need to be separated. My neighbors are Korean, and we get along just fine. I don't need to send them back to Korea to keep the peace!

To answer your main question: No, the US constitution would prohibit state laws which limited freedom of travel, which required discrimination in housing and employment, and which determined citizenship based on genetic inheritance.
In other words, nothing even remotely resembling the state of Israel could be established within the United States. When people say Israel is the only democracy in the middle east, they don't know what they're talking about.

I honestly don't think that anyone would accept the creation of any other state on their land...
yes,I agree with you that the Jews were the victims of one the most barbaric and heinous crime in history ...but we must remember that it is not only Jews who suffered during Holocaust. And yes it should be repaired, but not by giving them a state of their own...By this principle let's give to the gypsies also a country of their own, because millions of them died also during Holocaust...I don't think this is the solution, this only brings many more problems...
Israel was created without caring that on that land Arabs were living for centuries...As I remember one of the reason the British gave Palestine to Jews was that anyway the Arabs have enough lands,so a country less wouldn't be such a big loss for them...
Unfortunately in order for Jews to have a state, some other nation should have suffered and as Palestine was under British mandate it was the perfect location...I honestly don't think that the Zionists believe the thing with God giving them the land, since they also tried Argentina and a country from Africa...
It was wrong to created Israel there,as it would be wrong to create it in any other place.

ok i just read the two insane anti-semetic posts above me... america run by jews?? Lets see...3-4% of the population is RUNNING the country? How many jews are CEOs and in congress? Maybe 5-10%... certainly not RUNNING the country. Ted Turner and Rupert Murdoch (not jews) control the news. Bush is a fundamentalist christian - not a jew. The Jews haven't run Hollywood since the 1950s...and back then, they developed it out of thin air - so they had the right to run it. Bush's interest in Israel is more to save the democracy in the middle east and our ONLY ally in the middle east... and to save the holy christian sites that are in israel. Bush isn't that interested in Jews. It amazes me how idiotically anti-semitic people STILL ARE IN 2006!! WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU IGNORAN MORONS?? --- ok back to my original post--
interesting point... the problem is the most holy sites for Jews are in Jerusalem (the wailing wall of the ancient temple destroyed by the romans, etc...) and this is where the history of the jewish people is. For example, Mount Masada is here - where the jews hid from the romans, etc...you can still see how the Jews lived up here 2000 years ago thanks to archeologists. This was really THE jewish homeland - not arab land - ever. Ironically, Jews and arabs lived relatively peacefully together before Israel was established... which screwed everything up. (It was British land land before it became Israel - not Arab land anyway - just FYI) i suppose you can relocate all of the Jews in israel to a big chunk of empty land in south dakota or something but none of the history of the jewish people is in north america - nothing significant is here. And, the Jews have been relocated about 200 times in human history so maybe enough is enough and the Arabs can give up their claims to a piece of land the size of a postage stamp when compared to the rest of the middle east that is all their own? There are significant things for arabs here and so they just have to learn to coexist - end of story. There are items of both historical and religious significance in Israel - not just religious reasons for the Jews wanting to stay there...besides, they are an integral part of the democracy that WORKS in the middle east. w/o the jews down there, the whole thing would devolve into chaos - i.e. iraq. anyway, it's an interesting proposal you have but Im guessing you haven't actually been to Israel. I saw the entire country so there is some pretty clear significance to the jews there...and christians too - i mean, i saw the spot where jesus was supposedly resurected (Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Old Jerusalem)...whether or not you believe this actually happened, turning over all this land to Arabs is somewhat of a problem because it is meaningless to them and they'd likely destroy it....not to mention the various tombs of thousands of famous jewish and christian leaders for the last 5000 years are in Israel... but yeah moving all the Israeli Jews to North America is a great idea because the arabs are incapable of peaceful coexistance with Jews OR Christians (everyone just likes to focus the blame on the Jews of course)

I agree! Since Texans are big supporters of Israel maybe they will be willing to give up 1/2 of Texas to form a new Israel State inside the USA.
If not Texas then turn Jew York into Israel.
Yes, I support that idea 110%
Israel is also running out of water so moving them here will solve the water crisis.
Maybe the Jews can treat the Illegal Mexicans the way they had been treating the Arabs forcing the Illegals to move back.

I should have figured that your post would draw out the Jew haters, as evidenced by the first responses. Their absurd comments are directly in line with the 9-11 conspiracy theories the rantings and lies about George Bush, ect. Anyway, screw them, and I'll answer in a civil fashion:
"The question is: Why should the Arabs pay for a crime they have not committed."
And the answer is that they don't have to, if they would let Israel live in peace on their tiny space of land which is so small that it's a joke when you consider the size compared to the vast, sprawling regions of abundance the Arabs have over there. Everyone should take a moment to look on the map. Israel is like New Jersey compared to the entire vast Northeast region of the U.S. from Maine down through Pennsylvania.
"Please don’t come with the thesis that God have a pledge with the Jews and promised a piece of Arab land to Jews or else you are going against the very foundation of western democracy of putting God in politics. Practice what you preach."
I'm not preaching it, so I'll say that God did give them the land. I think that your idea about "North America" probably is not in the cards and Israel most likely has a date with destiny according to Armageddon, somehow.
