Situated in England approx 100 years ago, upper-class family-drama , in a mansion near coast, son goes to war (WW-I ?) and comes back handicapped, and (I think) his fiancee married his brother meanwhile. What is the name of this mini-series? Braodcasted a couple of years ago (5-15 years ago ?)

Good luck with your search! I have the mini-series "The North and the South" from which a son from each side is featured and eventually fight in the civil war. Patrick Swayze is the son tfrom the South. His younger sister in the series marries his friend's brother. The "other family" is from the north. Hope this helps!

there was a series called "the Camomile lawn" about a family living on the coast. and it was wartime., but i dont remember much else.
