I'm a little over 37 weeks pregnant and the last few days after I go to the bathroom there has been little white gooey pieces of something in the toilet (looks similar to a mans semen...sorry if this is nasty) but I know it isn't that, because my spouse and I haven't had sex in a while.
Is this my mucous plug coming out slowly, or something else?
I thought that the mucous plug was supposed to have blood in it, is that correct?

It sure sounds like the mucus plug.
Mine was white too. (no red)
Oh just wait until you have the baby.....you will get used to "nasty" real quick. Labor & postpartum are full of lack of bodily control.

Every pregnancy is different. But is does sound like you are loosing your plug. Personally mine was clear. It look like a big blob of jelly. sorry if that grossed you out but just being honest.

I work in L&D, the mucus plug will not always have blood in it, usually there is a thin amount of blood. You can call your MD for reassurance, definitly contact them if you start leaking...

I didn't know when I lost mine. But it sounds like you are losing yours.
