Chelsea used to be like today's Tottenham playing well but not going that far (im sorry spurs fans) who would tell me Zola's team was nothing?

Agreed it's not really a fair comparison but they're probably referring specifically to the respective finiancial situations at the clubs - Chelsea were in serious serious debt before Abramovich bought them out. They prob would have been forced to sell their best players etc like Leeds did if he hadn't have come along when he did. I suppose that's what they meant...

Chelsea were weeks from administration because of major debts, IF abramovic hadnt bailed em out they be F****d, Kenyon, Mourinho, Ferriera, Cole, Carvalho, Ballack, Essien, Robben, J Cole, Drogba, Shevchenko, Makalele, Mikel, to name a few ONLY there for MONEY, which wouldnt be there if Ruskie wasnt , And wen Roman goes so will most of the team cos there wages couldnt be paid , And chelsea will return to where they belong... An Average size London Club

Spot on 100%. I fully agree with your assessment and your indignation. Pre-Abramo Chelsea like Leeds were excellent EPL teams to built on. Unquestionable. It's always owner/management that make or break teams.
