Is this my period or not? It's been 31 days since my last period, but I've only had it since August so it's like just starting. So I'm bleeding light pink, but only when I wipe. I don't know if it's an actual period because I don't need a pad or anything and none of it drips, but I might've rubbed "too hard" and my vaginas bleeding or it's my period but it does hurt, and it only shows up when I wipe but it smells like real blood- not overlate period blood

it's really weird because in August I got it, I skipped it in September, I got it in October, I skipped it in November, and when I've got it all those times it was really heavy and it lasted for 8 days.. how could this period be lighter?

Update: So I went to bed with nothing, and there's was a little blood on my panties, a lot in the toliet, so I put a liner on but the when I took it off it had no blood on it so I guess I'll be fine without a liner
so from what I think it's a period, but really really small so I'll probably be fine without a pad// for the rest of the day right? is the flow going to increase in the next few days, or does it stay short, and what I really wonder if it's going to last 8-9 days again

Unless there is some other information you have not given such as having had sex you are fine. It is really normal for periods to do all sorts of weird things when they first start up. It can take years to settle down into a normal flow and even then many women do not settle down into the classic 28 day cycle.
If you are only getting blood when you wipe then you probably will not need a panty liner but that may all change at any time so make sure you have pads with you just in case.
You mentioned that it hurt, from the way you said this I figured that it is only when you wipe. If this is the case you may have wiped too hard, or again there could be other problems if you have had sex. If it is general period pain this can vary a lot in intensity from being strong enough for you to need drugs to non existant.
If you have had sex then I sugest you go to a doctor and get checked out. If not then just take it easy and relax. Nothing is wrong and your cycle will eventually get to a stage that is normal for you.
31 days is a very normal period cycle.

Hi, If your period has only recently started it is normal for it to be irregular, i wouldn't worry to much but if you are concerned go see a doctor just to make sure everything is OK, wear a liner just to be safe,
It takes on average one to three years for your body to get into a regular routine. It's not uncommon in your teenage years to have a late or missed period. Many things affect your cycle. Things like stress, family problems, boyfriend problems, exams, illness, diet, medication and even good things like holidays can cause delays. If there is no possibility of you being pregnant then there is nothing to worry about. Your body will establish a routine eventually.
But as i said if you are still concerned see your doctor
Hope this was some help

Your periods may take some time to develop a routine if you are just starting. It will vary in frequency and in the amount of flow because your hormones are still fluctuating. You could be having a very light period or simply a bit of bleeding from the hormones trying to balance things out. No need to panic- always be prepared for your period to start until things level out.

I had similiar problems at the beginning. During the first year it was all irregular and really strange - I was 14. Till I became 19 there were many, many changes. Untill then - everything is ok. So sometimes - must wait..

look at your vagina and if you see anything cut open or swollen, then consult a doctor FAST. You might have an infection. To make sure that you get rid of the infection don't take a bath.
