what can it be i have zonealarm but cant access settings to change the port?

Most firewalls have this option ! your question is not clear enough ... But if you are looking for professional firewall, try Tiny Firewall professional 2005 ... or WinRoute Personal Firewall ...

there is a way in zone alarm to open ports. I think it's when you see the Internet Zone, Trusted Zone and it has the sliders to select the level of security you want. Just click Advanced in that box and it shoudl bring up a deal where you can click to open TCP ports and UDP ports in your internet and trusted zones. If you cant get it, send me a message and I'll give you screen shots from mine.
