YES. And do you know what it is called? Mainstream. My reason ifor this is... well...
People, if you are 18 years old and have gold-plated teeth, or "grills", then what is the statement you are making?
If you have your hair combed over your eyes, does that mean you are depressed about life or is that the newest hairstyle from that suicidal band which was formed on the basis of loding ONE girlfriend?
If you consider "pop" music to be cool, I just feel sorry for you.
If you think that women shaking their butt onstage in front of millions of people for no reason, then you have a problem.
So, to answer your question, Yes, I hate when I have a favorite song that is stolen by the rest of society due to rating-hungry media bass turds.

I can get sick of a song with or without other people's help. It usually happens when I over play it for myself.
Then there are the songs that I memorize and sing when I'm bored or scared and alone somewhere. I keep them in my repertoire for emergency and sometimes feel bored of them, but that only means that they will come back into "style" later when I think I've forgotten them.

oh yes, you are SO right.
i started to like a song because i get a connection with it, then all of a sudden, everybody else starts to like it, that i feel like, hey does everybody have the same taste and likes as I do? whatever happened to uniqueness?
so then, I lose interest and wait for another song to catch my attention.
