I was just mentioning this to a co-worker. I've been home sick for the last week and through instant messaging, blue-tooth cell phone use, a VPN tunnel into the network and desktop sharing, there was basically nothing I couldn't do! I admit, I took some time to sit back and boggle over that.

My mind gets boggled thinking about how stupid some people are. They buy something and then they toss it in the trash two seconds later and buy the next new thing just because they let themselves get conned into believing what they had before was obsolete.

Absolutely!

I remember being dazed and excitement when I worked at a leading high tech PDA company in Silicon Valley and thought, wow, this is so cool. I was thrilled to put my day planner away and take it to the electronic world.

Five years later, I'm having trouble operating my cell phone. Not only did the cell phones get smaller but now you actually have to read the manual to figure out how to operate it. I have become my mother (she used to drive me crazy by not answering her cell phone and finally admitted that she had trouble using it, so she just let it ring never figured out how to retrieve messages). I work for a software company and just when I figure out what it is we do, new technology comes along and there's a new wizardry happening for me to comprehend.

But I must admit, it IS incredibly exciting to be in the world where technology is actually taking us to grand heights! Trying to keep up with it all keeps the gray cells sharp.
