A couple months back Seattle decided that its new slogan was Metronatural, a word that was made up to be Seattle's tourist slogan. .
The old slogan was 'Say WA' which obviously wasn't bring in enough tourist.

I think it sounds too much like "menstrual", "metrosexual" or "metamucil".... I hated it from day one. I like what it signifies, a great urban area amongst beautiful natural scenery, but I wish they could've come up with something else!!

The term means nothing to me and it would not cause me to want to go to Seattle. I don't need any kind of slogan to want to go. My thought is that if they need a gimmick like that to make me go, then that is a reason to go elsewhere that they have natural beauty and no need for a slogan.
