i just bought the ipod video a month ago.. everything goes very well.. but yesterday i found it have no response at all!! i connect it to the comp but it has no response, and cannot be switch on... i want to know how can i reopen the ipod to get its response??

ipods are wonderful products and they work perfectly...all people need to know is that they are a delicate electronic device and you cannot treat them like you did with your old walkmans! Plus, take a little time to read the user's manual for godssake! (sorry this is not for you who asked this question but for that person "boss" who answered above me and most probably doesn't even have one or the money to buy it so s/he lets his/her frustration out by criticizing)...

Anyway...try resetting it by toggling the hold swich on and off a few times and leaving it of, then press and hold the center and menu buttons for at least 6 seconds until the apple logo appears...if it still doesn't work you might need to restore it...go to the apple website and download the user's manual for your ipod...then go to chapter 6 for tips and troubleshooting...everything you need to know is in there

Swith the hold bottom on and off a few times, then press the menu and center buttom at the same time for a few seconds till the apple logo appears. If this doesn't work, contact somebody at apple.

ipods FREEZE up. it's happened to two people i know within 2 weeks. good luck with that one and from now on i'd stick to mp3 players. they do more for a cheaper price!

here in Australia the ipod was voted the most faulty product
