I have just installed a razoo DVD dual layer burner. When I tried to play the first, and then second, and third etc. DVD, it keeps saying it cannot play this file. Then suggests lowering my display settings. I already have them as low as they go. Help?

Does your DVD burner read data or audio CD's? You need to test to see if the drive can read anything. If that all works, then what DVD software are you using? Are you using something like WinDVD or PowerDVD? Or are you trying to use Windows Media Player?

Also, when you are lowering the display settings, are you just lowering the resolution? Usually, when they say display settings, they are talking about the color-depth. 16-bit color would suffice.

If this all doesn't work, then I would suggest to purchase a name-brand drive, such as a NEC, Toshiba, Hitachi, Plextor. They are more reliable in reading and burning DVD's. Not all DVD drives are created alike. I bought my 16x NEC dual-layer burner at Newegg.com for $30. Actually, I have two. No coasters for me.
