First thing: get up EARLY, and get showered and caffeined-up and have breakfast if you need it (include some protein). It's amazing how productive you can be when no one else is yet awake.

Then: avoid the computer and television entirely and sit down and make a list of what needs to be done, without taking more than ten minutes. Repetitive, mindless exercise is good for sorting out what you need to do in your head (walk, treadmill, swimming laps), just list what you've come up with as soon as you finish while it's fresh.

Next: Get busy. Women have an easier time of multi-tasking than men (not sexist, just a simple truth) so finish something if you start it.

Never avoid making the phone calls that need to be made. Get them out of the way because the rest of what you need to accomplish probably depends on them.

Use a day-planner if it helps with the calls and appointment scheduling.

Learn how to say NO. Sure, you run into a friend and can easily be tempted to veer off-course and drink coffee and gab, but try not to get side-tracked in this way.

If you get up early and actually got stuff done, reward yourself by having a relaxing evening, a nice glass of wine, and a long, hot bath.

Lather, rinse, repeat as necessary.

Really take a good look at what needs to be done, and then get them done in order of importance if possible. Also, i reccomend not trying to multi-task, get one thing done at a time and get it done right.
