try right clicking once on the mpeg file and choose open with option, Windows Media Player may be an option in your pull down - if not, you will have to browse either your comp or website which can be a pain. I've recently had an artist's agent burn MP3's for me off vinyl albums - so may be able to offer further advice if this doesn't work for you.

well, i dont know about windows media player, but if you can download Real Player then you can convert mpeg files to MP3 without any hassles

Nope only in iTunes sorry and in real player too but not in WMP.
