Divya means:
1. Humble
2. Respectable
3. If you look into the Hindu Theology it means a mix of pure, clear, great and eternal.
4. As per literature is "Divya" is a complete eternal light.

It is nothing to do with Diwali.

Well divya bein a hindu should celebrate diwali. Diwali is also known as the festival of lights. Hindus around the world celebrate it to mark good winning over evil.

Nope nothing to do with Diwali directly.
It just means light , and since Diwali is the festival of lights ,i guess ppl just associate them together.

it also refers to the "dia", lamp in which Hindus light up candles during Diwali.
