Yes, born and raised. I still mourn the loss of my foreskin daily. Thanks Jesus. I managed to not trust what people told me, not stand for their lies and irrationality, and I always knew I was right and they were wrong. Yet I tried to understand it still, to make the effort, read the bible, but there was nothing there. The things I will teach my child, who already is unafraid of the dark, knows I will not lie to him, trusts in himself and the world around him, even if some people might be untrustworthy, he is brave and stoic, that took me 20 years to discover on my own, from reading everything, watching everyone, listening.

Due to multiple marriages of my mother, I grew up with a plethora of religions, mostly of the Christian variety: Catholic, Baptist, Jehova's Witness, and even a brief encounter with Judaism.
What I took from all of that was religion is a fabrication created by humans for humans. One need only look at the objective reality that is Nature, especially via the lens of science, to realise that God is fictional. If you believe, more power to you, but in the end, whether you believe or not, the absolute truth of reality will be the final arbiter.

Christianity arouses a sense of pity in atheists. Sunday school regimentation is like bartering intelligence with blind faith... as far as they are concerned!!

I was raised a christian and looking back it really reinforced the fact that there are no gods.
Oh, and by the way, Jesus didn't die for 'our sins', he died because 6 guys nailed him to a tree.
