Well definitely it has nothing to do with diwali. I don't really know the meaning but when i searched thru the net, found that divya meant heavenly, brilliant and extraordinary.... hmmm...

No Divya name has nothing to do with Diwali.... Divya means "BRIGHT" ...
diwali is festival of lights - its origin is "deepawali" meaning " a row of lights (lamps)"...
