There are still people alive today who can tell you. First commercial radio broadcast was only 1920. Everything else came later. So much has happened in so few years. From horse and buggy to space shuttles in around 100 years. They read, listened to live music, attended plays and live shows, told stories. They had an imagination and actually communicated with each other. How novel :)

Man is a social animal. But due to the invention of different gadgets, he has isolated himself from fellow humans. In olden times when there was no gadgets to keep them engaged people used to meet others. There was so much socialising in the past, but nowadays people just sit in front of the TV all alone. They go out to party instead but there is no bonding.Exposure to techonology has made man more isolated from the rest of the world. It is not possible to live without all this because we all have become used to it very much.People have no time to make new friends.Instead they prefer to spend time earning more money to buy more gadgets. In this way the cycle continues.

of course it is, TV did not become part of households until the late 50's
I personally remember life without TV, computers, phones, one where we made our own entertainment
ask anyone who is in their 50's or even people in their 30's will remember when they first saw computers in school or at home
my son had one of the first, from Radio Shack , then a Commodore 64
gosh now I feel old

Telephone: they yelled out "HELP!" real loud instead of calling 911.
Radio: they made their own music
Comps: they counted bones (and eventually gambled with them which is the origin of raps or dice)
What's a television?
And is it possible to live with out all this...sure, just move to Beirut.

You don't miss what you never had. Fifty years ago there was t.v. and radios and yes even phones. But we never even dreamed about everyone having their own computers or a phone that could do almost everything but brush your teeth. It is a mad, mad , mad, world.

You've never gone camping have you? LOL Before all of this, they were busy working and too tired when they were done to do much except read and or talk with their family. Too bad we don't do that more today.

We actually went out and played and used our imaginations, read books, went to church, you actually had to think.
Now kids just stay in and watch TV, sit on their computers and get in trouble without even going out.
