When you don't use your muscles for a long time lactic acid builds up around them. The pain that comes with new exercise regimes is the lactic acid moving out and away. After two or three days it will be all gone, giving your muscles room to grow, and you will exerience the ability to move more freely.
You are on the way to health. Keep it up and good luck.

after a week u wont feel pain, it is just the first days.... but remember to do exercises only about 4-5 days a week let the muscle relax a day or 2 without doing nothing or they grow when u stop doing exercises not while doing them, while u r doing the exercises u r only telling ur body u want more room, then in ur sleep new muscle is bulding.. that is how it goes. hope this help you.. but for the pain it will go away..

it will pass as long as you keep doing the exercises. generally you don't feel the max pain in the musle til 2 days after so when u wake up u may b scared but that is normal you tear the muscle to rebuild it bigger when u start wt. training in th the first sessions or mor of wt. training alot of pain hard to squat to urinat etc. is normal, then it get easier, but u should always feeel a little otherwise u are wasting ur time lifting wts. good pain will follow after extreme achey pain upon beginning ur wt. trng program.....alieve is a good option and if extreme take 2......but best to have another massage u or a nice hot sauna post work out or whirlpool.........Mmmmmm.....I feel better after starting over a week off of thanksgiving..............ouch me muscles hurt too!

That pain is caused by lactic acid. It happens to everyone. It never goes away your muscle only gets use to it and when you don't feel it anymore it means you better add weight or intensity. Stretching and massages help. trying doing some research on supplements such as creatine and protein. that helps.

dt is right. When the exercises stop giving you sore arms it will be time to increase your reps and or weights. cardio after you have weight trained will help flush some of the lactic acid, as will stretching.
