The boots are black, almost knee-high, with 3" slim heels and pointy toes. I want to look approx my age (late 20s early 30s) I don't want to look like teenager that would be just silly. I have great legs so I can wear any length. Any advice? For any occasion that you can think of. People dress rather casually (even sloppy) in my area. Tiny miny skirt would look good, but I'm afraid it's 80's style.

Knee-high boots, or boots that fall just below the knee have become a short-skirt staple, especially in cooler weather. Flat or heeled, and with or without tights, tall boots are an ideal match for shorter skirts, but the boots should be simple in design. Brown and black are especially good colors for this look.
Don't wear a stiletto pointy-toed tall boot with a mini skirt.

Well, I have a female friend that is 35 and when she wears a skirt, she wears a jean skirt with heels and all that stuff.

wear a 3/4th length skirt,it will hide your great legs(like you said they were) but knee length boots look great with skirts that length

I have always worn skirts that covers the top of my boots. This, I think, looks more sophisticated and less teeny booper.
