Do you remember having a particularly disturbing dream, or nightmare, and care to share it with us all?

Yes

I was with a bunch of strangers on a bus and the bus pulled into my old primary school.

We all got off the bus and then it disapeared and one of the people in the group picked up this paper and read it out to everyone. It said something along the lines of.... "you are all stuck on an island, you can never leave, there is only 1 maintenance man on the island and he is in the top level of the building"

everyone seemed pretty spun out and no one seemed to know any of the other people there of how they got there. Then I said to this guy next to me that I needed to go to the toilet. We found a toilet block and when I looked inside it was pitch black and there didnt seem to be any lights. Then the guy I was with suggested we find that maintenance man the note was talking about coz he might have a torch. I remember looking up and everthing was really dreary and there was a single light on at the top of this building so we made our way up the spiral staircases and by this time I was getting really scared coz I didnt know what to expect. Anyway, it turned out to be the devil behind the door in the room right at the top of the building but he was surprisingly friendly, joking around with us and telling me that my sentence was to be repeatedly rape and bashed for eternity and then he said its ok coz I like that sort of thing anyway. So me and the other guy ran back down the stairs to let everyone know that we had all died and that was why we were stuck in this place. A lady then started saying, no, no we have to find a way out and I was then trying to explain to her that the place we were at was in between life and hell and there was nothing anyone could do about and I told her to just "accept it"

That was really weird, I woke up in the middle of the night and I had to hide my head under my sheets and couldn't get out of my bed coz I thought the devil would be somewhere in my house.

Because of depression and anxiety i used to cope with my dreams were usually about getting shot stabbed and eaten by zombies.i had those kinds of dreams for the last 10 years or so. I would have to say at least 4 days a week since that time.

for example: I am forced on down on the ground and the person walks up and shoots me multiple times in the back of my head and i wake up with my heart pounding and for a few seconds i do not know who i am where i am. Yeah i know weird, but believe or not i've gotten used to having it but i still get scared when zombies tear me apart and eat me in my dream. And NO , i do not watch or read horror or murder.
BTW,, i happen to know exactly what earthgrl above me is talking about,,, they're called NIGHT TERRORS. i have those too from time to time.

I dreamt I was awoked seeing an evil figure standing at my bedroom door. In an instant he was in my face, I felt pinned down, he was evil itself. I woke up but I swear I felt the evil lurking for weeks. That was 11 yrs ago but still very clear
