Well I'm a Muslim, and I'm covered up, and I'm very, very, very comfortable with it.
I'm not brainwashed... I chose to be covered.
I'd rather be attractive with the way I think and am, then to be attractive with my body.I have self respect, that's why I'm not selling my body off cheap.
for the sports part... there are many ways to get some exercise, not necessarily having to show off any of my body.
Peace.

I believe it is a religious and cultural decision. The head scarves (I can't remember the real name) wouldnt really interfere with sports, but they wear long skirts which could prove to be difficult. however I've heard (though don't know how accurate this is) that women are seen as less than men in the muslim culture, so they may not be 'allowed' or it may be shuned for women to play sports.

Well, the whole idea of wearing the vail is to cover up the woman's body to, in a way, prevent "sex" relationships before a couple is married. However, in sports, if the stadium consisted of only women, she is allowed to take it off!
Also, she can take it off in front of relatives and husband, but not in public.

WHAT? These women were raised with deep seated beliefs. They believe it to be the right thing to do, to cover themselves. But as I understand it, they remove the cover at home and with family...and dress like everyone else underneath. They are not being shunned....they are recieving and giving respect for they are respecting their body, their man and their religon.
What an idiot you appear to be! RACIST!
