Get out of this deal while you still can. Him not having his share of the rent money is only a sign of things to come if you move in with him. You will constantly be expected to cover his share of the expenses. Run!

If he doesn't have the money from the start, you are looking for trouble because it is a sign of things to come. Have you ever watched Judge Judy or Peoples court, this issue between roommates is a regular topic.

Sounds like he doesn't manage his money properly. I'd be leery of allowing him to move in unless he comes up with something. You may possibly be stuck with paying the entire rent months to come.

The choice is yours.

Get his name off the lease while you still can. Under no circumstances should you let him move in if he can't even come up with the first payment.

II've lived with friends and family and both situiations were bad. If you friend has had a while to save and never came up with the money BE CAREFUL. You dont want to end up homeless down the road because of your friend

If he has't got the money now, you will probably always have difficulty getting the rent from him. I would find somone who will pay without any trouble unless this is a one of situation for him.

If he doesn't have his share of the rent, it is the beginning of things to come. He may be late with rent every month.

If he doesn't pay the rent but is on the lease then you are stuck with him. I'd back out and go it alone somewhere cheaper.

Sounds like you guys are off to a bad start. I had a friend move in with me after she got kicked out of her apt and she never gave me one cent for it- even after she offered to help me out since she was staying there.

We're no longer friends.

no i would not do that that is just a glimps into the future. That he will not be able to keep up with the rent. if you can afford it you pay for it and do not let him/her move in.
