I highly recommend Active@ Undelete. You can download a trial version which will show you if your files are recoverable, then you can purchase the software to actually recover them. It runs about $40 but that's very much worth if you've lost as much data as you have. I've used it myself with great success - I had an external drive with a ton of MP3s - I unplugged it from USB one too many times and corrupted it and Undelete got back pretty much every file on it even after an accidental partial format.

System Restore won't help you - it only restores system information and settings, not personal files.

You can do a system restore...
1. Select Start > Help and Support, and then click System Restore.
The System Restore window opens.

2. Click Restore my computer to an earlier time, and then click Next.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions

If you cant bring it up on there then click on start and see if you see system recovery and it should be in there...
this will set your computer back to an earlier date and time...say you deleted your photos yesterday at 12 if you set it to yesterday at 11 then they will be back on there...but if you have installed something since the time you restore it to you will loose that. ihope this makes sense..i actually had to do the same thing for the same reason..Good luck

You can restore your computer to a previous time, before you deleted the pictures. Read this article to find out how:

Hi Kelly,

I had a problem where I lost a load of digital photos off my camera.
I searched the internet, knowing that the local camera shop claimed they could find deleted photos, I figured I could do it myself.
I found and downloaded a program called 'Diskinternals Flash Recovery'
You can get it here ... http://www.diskinternals.com/products.shtml

It worked, and I was surprised at how much deleted stuff it could find it was scary.
It is a free download and you can check to see if your files are available to recover, I would imagine they are.

If you want to recover them you have to pay for the liscense, its about 25 quid i reckon, Although it was worth it for me to get my photos back.
Be warned.. you will not believe what it can find if you check the hard drive of a computer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope this helps.

most "deleted" files are not actually "physically" deleted in ur harddisk, it has to be overwritten before it can be "deleted" (meaning you really ca't recover it)

PC Tools offer a software called File Recover (http://www.pctools.com/file-recover/) it can look and recover you files but you have to register but you can search download.com for other file recovery software (free and easy to use)

if you are still worried about ur pictures (just email me and i will tell you "personally" a way to deal with PC Tools File Recovery)

Check your recycle bin if its in there highlight it then right click it and hit restore. if its not there then it was probably completely deleted
