my playstation 2 decided suddenly tonight to tell me to insert a playstation or playstation 2 format disc?? what does that mean? i put a playstation 2 game that worked perfectly well earlier on into the machine. i dont get it.when i inserted it tonight it told me that message?

It's not a big deal. Sometimes, the unit is unable to read the disc that you put inside. I also get a lot of that with mine. Just reset the game and it usually will be okay afterwards. If it persists on doing that, you may have a defect on your unit or disc. Try other discs to find out. Maybe the lens is dirty or something.

I would guess that what is wrong is that the predictions have come true.
Machines are telling us what to do.So tell it what to do!! Strike back for humanity!! Get a lump hammer and beat the living Bejussus out of it.!! That's the last time it will talk to you and you don't understand

It's tired of playing your games and will no longer put up with it I think it may walk out on you. LOL.

It'z not your playstation its the game. i had dat same problem once also
