The lessor of two evils statement got me what iffing.
If Kerry had been elected, 9/11 would have still happened. Afghanistan would have happened. Perhaps some form of pressure would have been applied to Saudi Arabia to try to ease terrorism. Bush is very personally friendly with the ruling family in Saudi.
Iraq would not have happened. Saddam would still be in power and be providing the strength to maintain a degree of "peace" within the middle east. Saddam's regime had the ability to buffer Iran, Syria, and others.
We wouldn't be spending something like $40 million a day in Iraq. We don't get a refund after the war is over. Our great grand children will probably be paying the bill. We also wouldn't be losing lives in Iraq.
A president that tells the enemy to bring it on is a loose canon. The terrorists took his invitation to heart and are still pouring into Iraq, fueling both the anti America war and the civil war. Bush's actions have completely destabilized the region.

Well, I'm not really a republican but i generally do support the republican party. Ok, I'll admit, Bush has screwed up...a lot...and the man won't even support conservative ideals! He has done nothing (or next to nothing) about illegal immigration, abortion, gay marriage, other republican issues, etc. But atleast while he's in office, the democrats will have a harder time pushing through their agenda. And his handling of the war has been terrible! I have no illusions about that. But at the end of the day, he's still a lesser of two evils. He may be an incomptent slob, but atleast Bush is not a sadistic baby-killing, criminal loving, business hating, affirmitive action supporting, 2nd amendment opposing democrat. I shudder to think what the United States would be like if John Kerry, Al Gore, or Hillary Clinton (god forbid) was in office.

Worst? You have got to be kidding me!!! What exactly did Clinton accomplish??? Besides getting head in the Oval Office. He destroyed our great economy that Reagan and Bush built (but he took credit for.) What about Carter??? All he did was boycot the olympics. He couldn't even get the hostages free (Reagan did that too.) The last time we had a good Democratic president was Kennedy and that was before I was born. Wake up and smell the Starbucks!!!

I don't know, how did it feel to support Jimmy Carter, who's real legacy is now staring us in the face with Iran and Siria jockying for Middle East power. Goerge Bush's real problem was he actively tried to fix all the foriegn affairs problems caused by Carter's and Clinton's inaction and pacification of our enemies and allowing them to be the threats they are now. Bush basically found himself in a no win position, fighting these mounting threats while having weasles like you and the far left obstruct his every move while at the same time aiding and abetting the enemy. As far as the rest of the world's view, they only know what our press and their press say about us, and we all know that is seldom objective or supportive of U.S. interests. It only goes to prove just how ignorant most the of left is today, willing to believe anything they see on TV or read in the headlines, no matter how ludicrous. I'd pity you if you weren't so dangerous.

Hello,
Actually, when I voted for the president the first time, I really believed in him.
Then, September 11th, 2001 happened.
Even after September 11th, I still voted for the president. It took me until 2003, after listening to the below radio talk show hosts, to put the pieces together.
Sure I knew the president was a member of Skull and Bones, but I had no idea what they did. I also had no idea the president was a member of the Illuminati or Bilderburgs or Bohemian Club.
It saddend me to learn these things. I mean, I have always known that when a politicians mouth is moving, they are lying, but I did not know to what extend they would go to fill an agenda.
Hope this helps you.................................... : - O

Easy thing for a lemming to say.....
We've had 42 Presidents before him and I can tell you very few had an overwhelming support of the population. Those that DID have that enjoyed it as an "ebb and flow event" which came and went as quickly as the tide sometimes.
I'm "over here" and have been for nearly four years now.
The choices then and now were no better and far worse, and aren't getting much better with time.......

I never supported Jimmy carter. Move to Canada, or France if you don't like it and quit whining like a wee baby. I'm sick of liberals whining and crying about the President. Get the hell out if you hate him so much. Oh and if you do move enjoy having a 60% income tax, double digit inflation, and long waiting lists for "managed" healthcare, that you will never get.

I like reading some of the posts slamming your thoughts on Bush....That is all well and good they have their views, after all this is America and your allowed to say how you feel....I would like the people who slammed your opinion to ask some of the Military personnel who served in the Gulf War, and the ones who have done 2,3,4 tours already in Iraq....all well and good for people to voice their opinions from the comfort of their computer chair!....but you haven't been over there...you weren't in NY when those towers came down....Mr. Bush said and I quote (it is on video!!!!)...."when I saw the first tower hit by the plane......." NO ONE SAW THE FIRST PLANE HIT ON TV, till AFTER it already hit!!!!!! He is a LIAR!!!!!!..He KNEW what was going to happen!!!!!...now all he is trying to do is "finish" what his daddy friggen started!!!....Bush holding hands with the Saudi leader, ON FILM?......What the F!!!!!......the hijackers were from "Saudi" countries, NOT IRAQ!!!!!......Clinton may have gotten some extra curricular activities while president, but the dude was set up by Kenneth Star and that Linda Tripp broad!!!, USING Monica Lewinsky as a pawn, young, naive, and played.....the only thing I know is that when Mr. Clinton was in office the country was in the Black for the first time in the History of the United States, the country seemed to be better.....Bush took office, gas was $1.28 a gallon......He and Chaney are friggen OIL MEN!!!!! That is why we are over in Iraq and the Pres. is kissing butts with the Arabs.....You people who are avid Bush supporters, well the recent election sort of speaks for itself now doesn't it!!!!....He is a friggen IDIOT!!!!! and a LIAR!!!!....I'd rather have a president who got a little while elected, who was just irresponsible and got caught for what Pres. have done for years, then the moron we have in the White House now.....Just ask those who have served..Not just one of you here....or the ones in their cushy govt. jobs......but those who served from the beginning....Whole nother story there my friend......I didn't vote for Bush, all you who did, hope you like paying 2-3 times at the pump.....Whats in your wallet............

No reason to try to understand. A lot of these people are brainwashed or are desperately holding onto a myth in order to feel secure. Many won't admit they are wrong and a big part of his support comes from congative dissonance. Many of his supporters are just wired that way.
