I'm 36 and I don't think of all 21 or 22 year olds as kids. Just like everyone of every age: some are mature, some are immature. It's all based on their individual actions.

It's deffinatley considered a kid in all the circles I've been a part of. I don't ASSUME people at that age are still immature I KNOW they are, I live with a 21 year old! I was also 21 myself a few years ago. It's no ASSUMPTION it's a fact. You don't have the emotional expierence or the LIFE expierence at 21 yes 21 and 22 are still immature...and throwing a tantrum isn't going to proove that it's not.

Well there are some 22 year-olds that act immature so others treat or think they are younger. I am almost 21 and I have a baby, for me I would be affended by that, as I am responsible, and I act my age.
But I do see many where I question what they are doing, or how they are acting. It just depends on the way they show themselves to other people.

Just left the teen years behind. College years when all you do is get drunk and/or stoned, not to metion party 24/7 and get laid. That's why some kids round that age are considered immature.

All depends on the individual. I was more mature at 20 than some 40 year olds I know today, but real maturity comes with the realization that most of the world just don't freakin care, man. Deal and move on

well, if you live in a party university town like i do, most of the ppl your age are still acting like kids...drinking-puke-fest parties every weekend, alcohol poisonings, vandalism, etc. i have kids your age however, who are mature and responsible adults. so i guess it can just be a stereotype.
