Hmm, you must not know how popular he is and how he drives women OF ALL AGES, WILD!!!!!!!!!!
He is a fine actor and lots of women love him, he is mysterious, classy, different, super interesting, you just don't know about him, and how admired he is and not by teeny boppers, no way, do some research, he is been in the Actor's studio on Bravo, you'd be very surprised, had you seen that interview, he drives women nuts, and all sorts of other audiences, I'm very picky with actors, he is one of the very few I'd admire. Tom Cruise may be popular, but Johnny is more in a special way, remember not that many people care for Tom Cruise any more, it's about attitude and Johnny Depp is sexy and classy, intriguing, rare and hard to find. He is wanted!

I'm not a teeny bopper and I think he's so hot, and he's a fantastic actor and comes across as being a lovely down to earth person as opposed to the strange little man that is tom cruise...

I used to be the biggest Tom Cruise fan but Johnny Depp has stolen his place in my heart. I am no teeny bopper but I can understand why they feel the way they do.

Hey, I am 57 years old and I think Johnny Depp is one hot guy, that's a heck of a lot more than I can say for Tom Cruise.
Yeah, Johnny has the bad boy image, but Cruise has the Scientology psychopath image.

LOL I'm not a teenie yet I admire Johnny Depp.
Looking back to his career. Starting with 21 Jump Street and then the wide screen. If you watched his movies list, none of them are cheap act or easy way to be a star. He chose his movies and different characters. He denied Speed though it took Keanu Reeves name into the fame.
I think every person have different ways to think someone is hot or not. I don't think Tom Cruise is hot, he's a good looking guy but I don't like just a good looking guy. Johnny surely have character, charming and cool all at the same time. He didn't dare to be good looking all the time, he dare to be himself.

I know what you mean. I think it is because he has this magnetism of a bad-sad- boy-save me maiden attitude. And the caretaker girls want their ffantasy Cinderella dream to come true in a bad boy flavor? I don't know!. Do you?.AS far as physical looks, I would give him another perspective. Don't you think? Johnny Depp is handsome and it's natural, remember Tom before he had his teeth done UGH! Also Depp has a magnificant screen presence and doesn't take himself too seriously.

I honestly have no idea. Everyone talks about how he's soooo hot or whatever, but he's sooooo not hot. I think he's a decent actor, but appearance-wise, he looks really dirty and low-class. I think it's trendy to think Johnny Depp is hot and cool...most girls who say it would probably never even look at him twice if he wasn't a celebrity and they saw him at the mall.

You just spoke of his looks. Johnny Depp has depth of mind, humor, diversity, expression, knowingness, . . . not all interest in a person is of looks, though he is nice looking, what Johnny Depp can say without words with his eyes is powerful. Maybe that is the 'popularity' that is seen.
