I am not elderly either, but gods willing will be someday. My partner and I are 44, respectively. There are even some in Hollywood, if you think about it...look at Ian McClellan, for instance and there are others I just can't think of them right now. Depending on where we live across America, other answers were right, they're probably pillars of the community and/or raising kids/grandkids. Go to a nudist resort. Several of them are elderly and gay. They are out there. Keep looking.

OK, do you hang out with old people, normally? Do you frequent old folks homes a lot? No? Then I can assume that you don't really know THAT many. So how do you know that none of them are gay?
Do you ever see old men hangin out together with no women around? Don't you see old ladies out and about together? Are you assuming that they are just all "friends" out and about without their husbands or wives? How do you know that some of them aren't couples?
You say you've lived. What places do you frequent? Are these the same places old people go as well?
My point is, I think it is impossible for You to be able to gage whether or not there are senior homosexuals.

Contrary to this way of thinking :
"The avcerage life expectancy of a homosexual male is 48 according to the latest statistics. many " elderly" gays die of anal cancers and bowel diseases. "
(by the way I love how those statistics always seem to come from cristian organisations)
I think you don't see them because you'Re looking for them in the wrong places..
I hardly think a 75 years old gay man will be shaking their butssout at the local gay dance club..
They're probably right in your face..
like that old man crossing the street to buy lotto tickets from the corner store .. or this sweet lady in the park feeding pigeons (ok .. ok .. that maybe is a bit too stereotypical .. but I was just trying to say they don't have the words GAY stappled in their face.. you see them but you dont)

MY TURN!
I am a 61 yr. old lesbian and I can assure you there are tons of older gals and guys out here.
Most of us don't haunt the clubs anymore-we have house parties with our longtime partners or meet singles (of our age bracket) at these parties, private dances, or org. meetings.
We sport grey hair (some of us dye it on occasion), pillars of the community, and very up on current events. no to mention being secure in several areas of our relationships and other areas.
In an area having about 10 small towns I know of 30+ G&L and I have only lived in this area 2 months. These towns are about 8-10 miles apart and loaded with the older set.
We have no need to prowl the bars-we take cruises & trips all over the world. We are enjoying our "golden" yrs. and leave the prowling to the younger set.

They are out there. I just don't think they feel the need to put it out there like younger people do. You think people don't like homosexuality now but back when they were young it was unheard of. They are used to a life of keeping it a secret and they are not going to change now. As todays generations get older though, you will see them more and more.

You don't? Okay, maybe you are looking for them in gay bars. Most of them are settled down and are growing old with their significant other. Some of them have families and are raising their kids. Whatever it may be, you can rarely see them hanging out with the hormone-filled young ones. But you can google married gay couples and some of the popular elderly ones are actually there.

The homosexual lifestyle is deadly. Even before AIDS gays lived far shorter lives than normal people for a variety of reasons. They are more likely to be alcoholics, drug addicts, prostitutes, and less likely to eat a healthy diet.

Probably because older gay folks don't go out to the party places as much as the younger, as is also true with straight people. The publicly gay places, where you would recognize people as being gay, tend to be party places and older people tend to stay home more, socialize with friends at home etc. We are out here, I guarantee you.

Go to a gay naturist gathering if you want to see old homosexuals. I've been to several, and there were mostly guys in their 50s, 60s, and 70s.
