You either need to make more money and/or eliminate monthly debts. You probably have a lot of unnecessary expenses. Poor spending habits are probably what has got you in the situation you are in now. I would recommend spending $20 on a book that tells you how to better manage your money. That will probably be the best $20 you have ever spent.

Spend less than you make. A woman will spend $400 on $1000 woth of stuff she doesn't need just to tell you she SAVED $600. A guy will spend $10 on a $5 wrench to fix a $30,000 car right now. Who makes more sense to you?
