I don't even own a TV. I haven't owned one for six months.
I spend more time on the computer, I go to the library more often and go down to the corner coffee shop more often. Basically without the TV, I get out of the house more lost a couple pounds (due to the extra walking) and I read more.
After a month you don't miss TV anymore. I miss watching hockey and football games, and if I break down and get a TV again it will be because of sports.

I don't watch TV, but I have lots of videos and DVD's but I don't watch those that often either. I think it is great, because it does make people closer, because then they have more time to talk and do other things together. Plus, you can pick what kind of shows you want to watch and if you have kids, you don't have to worry, because you know what the movie is like.

I can't live without cable or TV! lol! my family is getting nicer and closer together. what i think is all the stuff we watch on TV makes us copy it. TV isn't everything so try to make things great now!

Yes, I could live without the TV, but doubt that my husband could. Friends of ours have NEVER had a TV at all...
