does anyone here have the playstation 3 yet??
is it worth the hype and cash??
i wanna give it as a gift!!
is that a gift worth the sacrifice?
or is it better to wait till there are more game choices an the price drops a lil bit?

Is the PS3 worth it? Absolutely because there's a lot of good games that's going to come out for it. Is is necessary? Absolutely not, at least at this point anyway because the games are sparse. Only good game right now is Resistance: Rise of Man. It's going to be at least spring of next year before the PS3 really see some heavy hitters. But once the heavy hitters get rolling, then it really gets rolling.
Is it worth the sacrifice as a gift? If you're the recipient, I think you'll really appreciate it because of how difficulty some one went through to get it. If you're the giver, it might be worth it just to see his/her face on Christmas.
Don't expect a price drop anytime soon. It's going to be at least 2 or 3 years before there's a price drop. The only advantages of waiting until it's freely available on shelves are: 1. Most of the bugs should be gone. 2. Lot more games to choose from.
The 360 is only cheaper than the PS3 if you don't want to watch HD movies. But if you want to watch HD movies, the 360 ends up costing more because it has less than what the PS3 offers.

I work in the electronics department in Wal Mart. The customers seem to think it was worth the hype (we had a guy wait in layaway for a week for it to come out and then many more filing in later in the week before it came out... god layaway stunk!....lol).
I'd wait untill it dropped in price some... besides... there is almost always a recall on things like that, by the time the price has dropped all he bugs will probably be worked out... there hasn't been a recall yet, but i'm sure there will be. The ps2 had one, and so did the X-box. The only gaming system that isn't that bad about recalls is Nintendo. If your friend you are wanting to get the gift for likes Nintendo things, I'd personally go with the Wii... not to mention they are about 1/2 the price.

I read this book once that said it's stupid to buy everything thats just keeps on advancing...
It's like...You are so happy and just bough the latest car...But in 3 months there's a newest release and you start to feel...like you Unacomplished something
so i think Buying a Playstation 3 is like buying yourself Complex of Unfullness... Thats why I wouldn't buy it!=D

i wouldnt even buy ps3 i own ps3 and xbox 360 and xbox360 blows it outta the water ps3 is 600bucks xbox 360 400bucks
u dont have to pay as much and u get better grapics
i just got my xbox 360 today had ps3 since the day it launched trust me tho xbox 360 is much better
if u do choose to buy xbox 360
pick up gears of war:its a must buy for xbox 360 i just started playing it and i think its better then halo 1 halo 2 and maybe just halo3

Look at getting a Nintendo Wii
Probably cheaper and easier to find then a PS3
And my personal opinion, the coolest things in the world after seeing all the neat stuff it does

well if you are going to wait for the price to drop it will take quite awhile. xbox 360 has been out for a little more then a year and price has not dropped yet.

yo boi drinking about gears of war is better than the halo series,boi garbage in the game, got to understand the storyline and the gameplay is off the hook, yo just get all the latest system, they come handy one day
