Im joining the marines in about a month or so, i try to bulk up by eating a lot but i dont think im eating the right food to gain weight and muscle. Can anyone help me with what i should eat on a daily basis to gain weight. I am 6'1", 150 lbs. with 7% body fat (got checked at gym). Ive tried everything, any real good advice would be helpful.

Go to GNC or just about any similar store and buy yourself a high protein "weight gainer" shake and a high quality whey protein shake. Take the weight gainer about 45 minutes to an hour before you work out, and drink the protein shake along with something light and high in protein (I usually went with a BLT or turkey sandwich) immediately after your workout. Doing this about 5 days a week I was able to go from 5'8" 150lbs to 185lbs of all muscle (make sure you have a very good weight training and cardio routine, all that extra protein taken at the appropriate times will make your workouts show a LOT better results) in about two months. By the end of my first month I had gone up around 20 pounds. Good luck to you!

yo guy i've got been given the comparable extraordinary situation. ive quite plenty have been given the comparable physique as you and im turning out to be a member of the army skipping the final area of my senior 3 hundred and sixty 5 days to bypass to undemanding and militia inteligence AIT. Ive been gaining alot of weight at the instant by liftin weights on the YMCA and lifting for soccer. Ive been eating alot of double cheeseburgers from McDs and burritos from taco bell. human beings will say how risky it quite is to consume that yet once you're working and lifting continuously, it could even out. sturdy success with the marines (and learn being a soldier lol)

Ice cream. The real stuff, not Light Cream, or "Ice".

Eat late at night, just before you go to bed.

Fritos and Potato Chips.....

Also, eat good healthy foods, like cheese, meat, fruit, and take vitamins.

Do a non-aerobic workout, like lifting weights slowly to build up bulk and muscle, which weighs more than fat, by the way. Running and other aerobic things will just burn it all off and keep you skinny.

Good luck, and thanks for your willingness to serve our country!

Just keep eating A LOT of breads and pasta, if your working out hard? Add lots of meat (beef, chicken, fish).

Oh, and eat before you go to sleep. (like an hour before)
Guaranteed you'll gain weight with that tip alone.

When you get to the fleet you will put on all the weight you want. I went it weighing 150 at 5'10 left boot camp at 138lbs... I am at 170 now.... boot camp will thin you out.. have fun! Oh and work on your dead hang pullups now ;-)
