when it comes to tolerance? they lecture us about it constantly and demand we tippy toe around everyone's feelings and go out of our way to not offend anyone. yet they have no tolerance for people who disagree with them. say something good about america, white people, christians, republicans, or God and their faces turn red with fury and they shout, call names, and go into a swearing fit.

You're right, and that's just as wrong. In many ways, people on both sides of the political and social divides in the U.S., are wrong.

Where to start...1)doubt you would make a liberal upset by saying something positive about America unless you are avoiding a truth, 2) why do you mention white people? are you a southerner? when you mention white people it automatically makes me assume you said something racist which does make me mad, 3) not everyone in America is Christian...stop assuming that. do you forget that this country was founded for religious freedom...not freedom for Christians to practice in however way they want to,
4) republicans are narrow minded, 5) God should be left out of politics.

Liberalism is a necesaary evil in our country. We need watchdogs and whistle blowers. The problem is when liberals try to lead the country. It's like a never ending cycle with them. I don't mean to insult liberals, but certain realities must be faced when leading. That's for another question I think...
The very nature of liberalism is a contradiction. It removes freedoms to create freedoms and in the end, well, anarchy would be left.

Don't confuse the media-hyped word "LIBERAL" and the political affiliation. Liberals adovate freedom, that is what the word means.
Freedom of speech, religion, and the press are essential to liberal thought. Obviously anyone who crushes someones freedom of speech is NOT liberal.
Many liberals vote Republican!!!
Some conservatives vote Democrat!!!
The Opposite of a Conservative, is a Progressivist
The Opposite of a Liberal is a Totalitarian or Facist

I know many white christian liberals that do nothing but talk about God and vote Republican. There are tons of Catholic Activists who support gay rights, Islam, women, etc.

Why must conservative make liberals out to hate America. If they hated it as much as you say they do they would just leave. So they don't like the state of things, most Americans don't.
As for the name calling, I think this last election is proof that your dislike of liberal name calling makes you conservatives just as hypocritical as anyone else.

In my experience, hardcore liberals think that everything should change for the better of everyone. They don't seem to realize that there is only so much to go around. Quote "If you're a conservative when you're young, you're coldhearted, but if you're an old liberal your stupid"

Catch is, everyone is hypocritical. Few of us set standards for ourselves below ideal, and when someone else does not meet our standards we bash them for it. It's sad, and not only happening on one side of the partisan divide.
